Embodiments of Love!

This is another wonderful Gem;

Sex is divine if there is an element of love;

If we understand sex properly then we will not come across news about rapes;

If we think body only is required for sex, then masturbation is the best;

In this sloka, Adi Sankara talks about one thing only

 In spite of all the weapons of influence which make mortals fall in love with the opposite sex, divine grace is required to fructify those efforts

Under explanation, I will share my views

Sloka 6-Soundarya lahari

धनुः पौष्पं मौर्वी मधुकरमयी पञ्चविशिखाः

वसन्तः सामन्तो मलयमरुदायोधनरथः ।

तथाप्येकः सर्वं हिमगिरिसुते कामपि कृपा-

मपाङ्गात्ते लब्ध्वा जगदिदमनङ्गो विजयते ॥६॥

Transliteration

dhanuh poushpam mourwee madhu karamayee pancha visikhaah

vasantas saamanto malaya marud aayodhana rathah

tathaa apy aekas sarwam hima giri sutae kaamapi kripaam

apaangaat tae labdhwaa jagad idam anango vijayatae.

Simple Meaning:

Below is the poetical meaning:

Oh! Daughter of the snow mountain! What to say about your blessings! Manmadha’s bow

is sugarcane twig. Its string is made of bee line. His five arrows are flowers. Vasanta

(spring season) is his pal and companion. Gentle (Malaya) mountain breeze is his chariot

to wage his war. Thus, though all his instruments and associates are so inefficient,

Ananga (Manmadha) triumphs over this entire world. Isn’t because of the compassionate

glance from the corner of your eye?

Below is the direct meaning:

The bow is flowery. The bow string is made of bees. The five (flowers) are the arrows. Vasanta is the neighboring king (ally). The breeze from the Malaya Mountain is the war chariot. Even thus and (all) alone, Oh daughter of the snowy mountain! Having obtained some sort compassion from the corner of your eye, Ananga triumphs over this entire world.

 Oh daughter of the snow-clad Himalaya mountain!Kaamadeva, the God of love, has only a bow made of arrows, with its string comprised of a cluster of honeybees, and arrows barely five. The spring season (periodical and undependable) is his assistant and the southern breeze, his war-chariot. Yet, with such frail equipment, bodiless and alone though he be, Manmatha conquers the entire Universe, having obtained some favour through Thy benign side-glance.

Explanation:

Beautiful

You may think Sankara being a saint is talking about sex only;

In the outset it may look simple but Adi Sankara, was wisdom embodied; he would not have wasted a sloka on sex matter;

Now listen

You can see people with the following aspirations:

To acquire the Highest educational standard;

Highest wisdom;

To accumulate highest qualifications;

To win the music world by wonderful concerts;

To sway the mass with speech;

To make slaves by wonderful writings;

To amass wealth;

To maintain the best body and health;

To become the top official;

To rule the world;

All the above mentioned or not mentioned have limited franchisees;

But 2 things have universal following:

1)    Food for the stomach

2)  Sex for the body

The above are involuntary and sustain life;

When all other things can be achieved with our BRAIN POWER, food and sex CANNOT be done /achieved by mere brain power;

We will talk about food and my MATA’s grace in the future slokas;

Here we will talk about SEX;

As shared earlier, sex is the motivating force for all creatures whether we accept and reject the same;

You might have heard materialistic kings and spiritual giants have been felled by beauty queens;

Both need food

Both need sex

Science is unable to produce food; scientists may manipulate and modify forms but they CANNOT create food in the real sense of creation;

Sex and the ultimate progeny are again cannot be achieved by science; 

you may argue medicines like Viagra can create sex feeling; it is temporary and cruel; just take a tablet of Sildenafil Citrate one night and observe what happens next day; severe head ache and reddish eyes which may kill you for 2-3 days, whereas natural sex with your beloved one cannot be created by hormones only; it surely requires divine interventions;

Also conceiving a child is again a billion dollar question; it requires divine dispensation;

Food and Sex:

Both the above are extremes

Food—if you eat now, you will claim stomach is full, no more extra ingestion;

Sex—if you have sex now, you may claim body is full, no more extra sex now;

But both are required till death repeatedly ;

Both SUSTAIN life;

It is natural of Adi Sankara to postulate that the life sustaining forces cannot be aided by human beings but only by some superior force which is true also.

Sloka 5-Soundarya lahari

हरिस्त्वामाराध्य प्रणतजनसौभाग्यजननीं

पुरा नारी भूत्वा पुररिपुमपि क्षोभमनयत्

स्मरोऽपि त्वां नत्वा रतिनयनलेह्येनवपुषा

मुनीनामप्यन्तः प्रभवति हि मोहाय महताम् ॥५॥

Transliteration

hari stwaam aaraadhya pranata jana soubhaagya jananeem

puraa naaree bhootwaa pura ripum api kshobha manayat;

 smaropi twaam satwaa rati nayana laehyaena vapushaa

muneenaam apy antah prabhavati hi mohaaya mahataam.

Simple Meaning:

Oh! Mother, the very cause of auspiciousness to people who worship You, Once Sri Hari having worshipped you, has become an astonishingly beautiful woman and agitated the mind of even Lord Siva and stole his pride. Having bowed to you, Smara (cupid) too is blessed with an eternally handsome appearance which is like a soothing liniment to the eyes of his consort, Rati. With this appearance, he has indeed generated delusion within hearts of even great sages.

Devi grants all good things to those who sincerely worship her. By worshipping Devi, Lord Vishnu took pretty feminine form (of Mohini) and captivated the heart of even Lord Shiva who had burnt places (and Manmatha with his third eye). Manmatha, capable of creating love, took the form which is like nectar consumed by his wife Rathi with her eyes, worshipped Devi and with the power so achieved, he was able to create passion even in the minds of great sages who were engaged in severe tapas.

Explanation:

The point is creation of LOVE in the minds of Her children…creation of sexual drive,if simply stated.

You may think that I am writing about a forbidden subject.

No, it is not a taboo to talk about SEX.

Let us not be hypocrites.

If a girl’s saree slips how many men will turn away their heads? (Of course if wife is nearby there could be some acting; but he would be cursing his fate about having his wife alongside that time)

Let us get into science:

Low Sexual Drive in Women:

For a growing number of women, declining hormones, job stress, relationship issues, and other problems are taking their toll in the bedroom.

Loss of sexual desire, known in medical terms as hypoactive sexual desire disorder (HSDD), is the most common form of sexual dysfunction among women of all ages. A recent study showed that nearly one-third of women aged 18 to 59 suffer from a lost interest in sex, and it's not all in their heads.

Unlike men's main sexual complaint, erectile dysfunction, women's biggest sexual problem is caused by a combination of both mental and physical factors, which aren't likely to be cured by merely popping a pill.

A woman's desire for sex is based on a complex interaction of many components affecting intimacy, including physical well-being, emotional well-being, experiences, beliefs, lifestyle and current relationship. If you're experiencing a problem in any of these areas, it can affect your sexual desire.

Psychological causes

Your problems don't have to be physical or biological to be real. There are many psychological causes of low sex drive, including:

·         Mental health problems, such as anxiety or depression

·         Stress, such as financial stress or work stress

·         Poor body image

·         Low self-esteem

·         History of physical or sexual abuse

·         Previous negative sexual experiences

Relationship issues

For many women, emotional closeness is an essential prelude to sexual intimacy. So problems in your relationship can be a major factor in low sex drive. Decreased interest in sex is often a result of ongoing issues, such as:

·         Lack of connection with your partner

·         Unresolved conflicts or fights

·         Poor communication of sexual needs and preferences

·         Infidelity or breach of trust

Low Sexual Drive in men

From a lack of sleep to having too much to drink, low libido is caused by a number of physiological, emotional, and lifestyle factors. Here are common issues that can ruin the mood:

1. Stress. The body reacts to stress by releasing adrenaline and cortisol. Chronic stress, in particular, can interfere with your body’s hormone levels, and result in a low libido. The arteries can also narrow and restrict blood flow in response to stress, which can also lead to erectile dysfunction. Stress can also reduce your libido by distracting you and taking your mind off sexual desire.

2. Depression. Libido and depression share a complicated link. “Depression can change the body's biochemistry and therefore reduce libido,” says Mark L. Held, PhD, a clinical psychologist in the Denver area. “It's also harder to feel sexual when you're depressed.” Some medications commonly used to treat depression may also lower libido as a side effect.

3. Low Self-Esteem. It's hard to feel sexy when your self-confidence is down or when you have an unhealthy body image. “Someone who feels unattractive is less likely to want to engage in sex,” says Held. “Fears of rejection may also come in to play.”

Note:

Many of you may not be aware but we should talk about;

In India, it is always prescribed that wife should get fulfillment of sexual desires through husband only; it is perfect if the husband is alive or fit to satisfy; let us analyze a few cases

1)    Child marriage-young girls aged 5 or 6 were married to men of 20 years plus; when she attains puberty that man would be older; when she is at her peak seeking sexual fulfillment, man would have lost sexual appetite

2)  Drunkards: this is another case wherein girls never get the real sex with enjoyment; still as and when he forces, she should accept that as sex…isn’t it nonsense yaar?

3)  Girls becoming widows at an young age: in Indian families, in earlier times, these girls would be lodged in a separate room in the backyard; she would be doing penance during day but during night, anybody from the husband’s family would be entitled to enjoy her; to ensure confidentiality, she would have tonsured( clean shaven head) and barred from interacting with outsiders; she could not attend functions stamped as inauspicious( this rule was not applicable to men who lose their wives; he could marry 1000 girls if he had libido in tact; this atrocity continues even this day)

Now let us get into analysis;

The sexual drive is the major motivator for copulation and progeny;

Nowadays we have sex doctors who contribute to “ healthy sex life”

We have Viagra;

In spite of medical help, you can see many becoming addicted to whatsapp/facebook even when wife is sleeping next to them( may be they are talking to another girl)

The data shows that 64% men prefer whatsapp to wife

Here we need the help of divine hand;

You may claim that I have all the pills including sildenafil citrate tablets; you should know side effects:

Include warmth or redness in the face, neck, or chest; stuffy nose; headaches, stomach pain, nausea, diarrhea, and an inability to differentiate between the colors green and blue. Loss of hearing, ringing in the ears and dizziness are other potential side 

So Mata Parvati creates the natural affinity so that our sex life is complete;

You should accept that a sexually contended person is a balanced person and can do wonders;

So let us surrender unto Mata and get the complete compliance to Laws of Attraction (towards  the opposite sex)

Blessing

Consecration

Guilt

Healing

We raise hands to:

Swear honesty

We touch heart to indicate:

Love, adoration and salutation

The above are the work of a single hand

Let’s see two hands together

2 Hands clasped, we indicate:

Peace

Alliance

Friendship

So hands can do all the work for us:

Hands can promise

Hands can threaten

Hands can dismiss

Hands can express fear

Hands can question

Hands can deny

Hands can express joy

Hands can express sorrow

Hands can express hesitation

Hands can express confession

Hands can express penitence

Hands can express measure

Hands can express time

Hands can express limits

Hands have the power to excite

Hands can express approval

Hands can deliver shame

Hands can quantify wonder

Life is short; live for yourself; also give a few moments for those who love you

Natya Satra has the following discipline:

 

Yatho Hasta thatho Drishti,

Yatho Drishti thatho Manah
Yatho Manah thatho Bhaava,

Yatho Bhaava thatho Rasa

Where the hands(hasta) are, go the eyes (drishti);
where the eyes are, goes the mind (manah);
where the mind goes, there is an expression of inner feeling (bhaava)
and where there is bhaava, mood or sentiment (rasa) is evoked.

Embodiments of Love!

MIRACLE:

Miracle:

I normally walk around my building as a part of exercise;

This day I wanted to go outside; temperature was less than 10 degree Celsius; there are lots of buildings under construction; huge; buildings and buildings only; I was calculating 25 families per block and an average of 5 blocks per colony which makes 125 families per colony; with 5 members per family=625 members in a colony…..

The pity is not all these;

The construction workers with their children;

in the biting cold of winter, they occupy roofless tents, cooking in the open, no heat, no proper clothing, no life, no education….

Out of all these, I have my own address and certain skills; 

Is not it a miracle?; 
Is not it Her grace to consider this dust as an entity?

Let me talk about my Lady-Love, Lalithamma!

Sloka 4-Soundarya lahari

त्वदन्यः पाणिभ्यामभयवरदो दैवतगणः

त्वमेका नैवासि प्रकिटितवराभीत्यभिनया  ।

भयात्त्रातुं दातुं फलमपि च वाञ्झासमधिकं

शरण्ये लोकानां तव हि चरणावेव निपुणौ ॥४॥

Transliteration

"Thvadanyaha Paanibhyaamabhayavarado Daivathaganaha

Thvamekaa Naivaasi Prakatithavaraabheethyabhinayaa!

Bhayaatthraathum Daathum Phalamapi Cha Vaanchaasamadhikam

Sharanye Lokaanaam Thava Hi Charanaaveva Nipunau!"

Simple Meaning:

Oh Devi ! All the other gods, except you, show the ‘abhaya’ (palm raised up to indicate ‘no-fear’) and ‘varada’ (palm pointing down to indicate ‘granting wish’) signs by their hands.  You alone do not show these signs since your lotus feet, the refuge of all the worlds, are themselves capable of protecting all from fear and granting the wishes of all exceeding their expectations.

Explanation:

The obsession for feet continues;

In sloka 2 he talked about feet;

To understand the significance of Her feet we need to know about gait

When we walk or run, our body goes through a complex set of steps that makes movement seem smooth and easy. It's actually a complex cycle called the "gait" or walking cycle. (Keep in mind that a cycle starts in one place and eventually ends at that same point.) To understand the gait cycle, start with your right heel on the ground in front of you with the rest or your foot in the air. When your heel first hits the ground, it is called "heel strike." Next, your foot starts to flatten on the ground as it takes on more weight. We call this "mid-stance." Then the ball of your foot and the toes finally touch down on the ground, just as the heel begins to lift. As the momentum of your body continues to carry you forward, your toes come off the ground and the whole foot/leg gets ready to swing forward.

So, when you walk, one leg is always swinging forward, while the other is bearing the weight of the body. Obviously, the slower you move (e.g., walking), the more likely both feet will be supporting your body weight. The faster you move (e.g., running), the more likely one foot will be supporting body weight at any given time.

Okay

From the above we understand how movement of human body is effected;

If we analyze the human psychic, we may understand that; all of us try to achieve heights…moving up figuratively as well as literally.

The physical upward movement happens for various organisms happen in different ways:

Fish have fins

Birds have wings

Humans have legs

When we want to swim we have paddle.

When we want to fly we sit an airplane which also symbolically has wings.

The momentum with our legs varies from person to person.

Like we replicate the bird in the form of plane, we replicate or extrapolate our feet in the form of divine feet, with the assumption that the celestial being would be able to walk faster when we stick to the feet in a way similar to water skiing;

Okay

A blunt statement

Serving the feet of somebody means subservience

2 things occur here

1)    We are at peace when we are at somebody’s feet; there is no chance of any conflict.

2)  We are on the ground, more stable with serenity and humility.

When Jesus washed the disciples’ feet, He told them, “I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you” .....John 13:15

When we have that servant’s heart, the Lord promised, we will be greatly blessed    .......John 13:17

Also when I surrender unto Her feet, She should walk up to me wherever I am because She is my mother.

There can be a bad son like rajagopal but there cannot be a bad Mother.

Mother, please forgive this sinner and make me better and better before the final total recall.

Embodiments of Love!

MIRACLE:

I was talking to a Punjabi girl;

She goes to Gurdwara daily;

Very pious; God loving (not fearing);

Guru Nanak Ji proved this day that she is His favourite child;

Morning I was chatting with her;

She said she was planning to go to Gurdwara at 9 am;

I attended the car mechanic, as car was going for paid service; then Hyundai person called and said the clutch plate is weak and gear plate has worn out resulting in hardness of gear;( due to that problem my left shouler is paining permanently); the charge would be Rs 30000; I cursed myself as Rs.30000 was very big;

Then had bath;

Worship;

Then cooking;

I was in the kitchen cooking;

Suddenly a flash vision came:

I saw this girl circumambulating Grantsahib Ji with an intimate prayer;

Then I remembered and rushed to see my mobile if she has come back;

There was a message that she was back;

I wrote I saw you in Gurdwara;

She was confused;

I narrated the dress—flowery with red cuff/scarf……before I could complete this writing she came on the video;

I almost fainted because it was the same dress I saw in my vision;

After some time I recollected more; I saw Sunlight coming from window—she visited Gurdwara again and showed me-it was the same window;

I saw green component-she saw it on the walls

Another beauty is that she normally changes dress (suit) as she does cooking immediately for lunch;

on this day it did not occur to her to change which she showed me in the video;

I am yet to recover from the shock

Jai Waheguru Ji !

Waheguru Ji ka kripa karan( this is the phrase she uses every now and then)

Sloka 3-Soundarya lahari

अविद्यानामन्तस्तिमिरमिहिरद्वीपनगरी

जडानां चैतन्यस्तबकमकरन्दस्रुतिझरी ।

दरिद्राणां चिन्तामणिगुणनिका जन्मजलधौ

निमग्नानां दंष्ट्रा मुररिपुवराहस्य भवति ॥३॥

Transliteration

avidyaanaam antas timira mihira dweepa nagaree

jadaanaam chaitanya stabaka makaranda sruti jharee

daridraanaam chintaamani gunanikaa janma jaladhau

nimagnaanaam damshtraa mura ripu varaahasya bhavati.

Meaning

Oh Mother!

For the spiritually ignorant, engulfed by darkness, the dust of your lotus feet is the shining Sun of an island city.

For the dull witted, it is the flowing stream of honey of the Kalpaka flower cluster, the pure intelligence.

For those impoverished it is the necklace granting all wealth like the Chintamani.

For those immersed in the ocean of samsara (births etc.,), it is the tusk of the savior Wild Boar (Varaaha Vishnu), the enemy of Mura.

Explanation:

For the spiritually ignorant, engulfed by darkness, the dust of your lotus feet is the shining Sun of an island city.

Last sloka (2) told about dust which we related to matter and energy

If you would have seen rockets are launched mostly from islands or coastal towns.

You know a fact?

Most satellites are launched eastward;

Reason:  it gains an additional velocity of 0.4 km/s due to Earth’s rotation;

rotation of the Earth provides an extra little boost, so requires less fuel;

Example: Shriharikota –India

Dust is the shining Sun for the spiritually ignorant.

Where? From an island

My mind is an island of darkness due to ignorance and Her dust which is mass gets converted into light energy to dispel my darkness

For the dull witted it is the flowing honey from the flowers of Kalpaka Vruksha

Kalpaka vriksha is a wish fulfilling tree;

I was wondering, for a dull witted, how Kalpaka vruksha could be useful.

Learning and memory are the most exclusive and basic functions of the brain. Synaptic plasticity is thought to be crucial for information processing in the brain and underlies the processes of learning and memory. Synaptic plasticity describes the capacity of neurons to change their efficiency in neuronal transmission in response to environmental stimuli and plays an essential role in memory formation. Long-term synaptic plasticity, or long-term potentiation (LTP), is the molecular analog of long-term memory and is the cellular model that underlies the processes of learning and memory. The induction, expression, and maintenance of LTP involve a series of biochemical events. LTP is induced by the influx of calcium into postsynaptic neurons through a set of receptors and/or channels and is usually followed by the amplification of calcium levels.

Current research has clarified only a portion of the involvement of honey polyphenols in memory-related signaling pathways. However, the overall body of knowledge clearly suggests the neuroprotective roles of honey and several supplementary experimental studies support its memory-improving effects. Overall, honey or its bioactive constituents might influence multiple signaling pathways to exert its memory-improving effects.

My mind is a monkey;

The question again is that why the tree has been connected with honey; a mere mention about flower could have been sufficient;but Sankara is not an ordinary person like me;

We know flowers are important for honey;

For flowering rain is required

For flowering Sun is required

For flowering air is required

See when Sun shines, water bodies evaporate and become clouds; then it rains; the location mentioned is island ; hence water source is in the neighbourhood; you may appreciate that water is a life force;

Sun light is coming from the dust of Her feet;

Air is Her breath;

The tree gives flowers as long as the above 3 are available;

Also appropriate climatic condition is required;

When Mata Parvati is there all the three are always there

Hence the tree floweres throughout

So we get honey forever

For those impoverished it is the necklace, granting all wealth like the Chintamani.

You know the beauty?

OMG

Sankara was a genius

Necklace connects heart( it touches the bosom of girls) and the spinal cord externally;

Spinal cord’s main function is connectivity to brain;( brain and spinal cord together form the Central nervous System)

We all know heart and brain do not go together;

A merciful person is always cheated by brainy people;

Brain will not forgive whereas heart forgives

Brain gets and forgets

Heart gives and forgives

Here Sankara is talking about the necklace of Mata Parvati

So when we pray her, the spinal cord takes the prayer to the brain; but Mata Parvati, bypasses the information to heart instead of sending to brain; the reason being, if the prayer reaches her brain, sinners like me, will never get anything; so She being the Supreme Mother takes decisions from the heart; she just sanctions the wealth which is symbolically expressed in necklace

For those immersed in the ocean of samsara (births, procreation, enjoyments etc.,), it is the tusk of the savior Wild Boar (Varaaha Vishnu), the enemy of Mura.

What does this mean?

The intention is to uplift the drowned like a crane which is expressed as wild boar;

Why boar

Reason is Wild Boars wallow in mud to cool the body temperature and avoid the parasites

Now do you make out;

If Mother has to save a sinner like me, she has to get into the mud of my mind;

OMG

Mother gets Her body temperature cooled by dwelling in mud!

What a mercy?

She has designed such a thing that Her body temperature should get reduced when she resides inside me which is not more than a mud

When she is in the mud, the parasitic thoughts of my mind cannot affect Her

I wonder the brilliance of sankara.

Note: on 29 th night or early morning of 30 th you may take, at 2 am, i had a dream; i am in a Bhajan Satsang; Shri Satya Sai Baba is conducting; he repeats a line like Maragatha ri ri, i repeat like Maragatha Gi Gi; he tries to correct me repeatedly; my wife sitting next to me explains further to me and address Baba; Maragatham is Green Gem emerald; there is Emerald Siva Lingh....i do not want to interpret; i saw green in the morning incident; Guru is talking about Green; i take refuge at his feet; today 30 th Nov is the second Kaarthik somavaar; Om Nama Sivaya
