On Sunday,25 th October 2012 I wanted to write on “ VISWA MATA” (934 th Namavali of Lalithambika);

The analysis of this fool was on the counts of “Viswa” assigned to my Mother!

She is assigned 9 “Viswa” adjectives!

I was struck up with the contradictory attributes of my Mother!

* 256 * Viswa roopa - She who has the form of the universe

* 334 * VISWAdhika - She who is above all universe

* 384 * VISWA sakshini - She who is the witness for the universe

* 637 * VISWA Garbha - She who carries the universe in her belly

* 759 * VISWA Dharini - She who wears the universe

* 780 * VISWAthomukhi - She for whom everything is visible( nothing can be a secret to Her)

* 889 * VISWA brahamana karini - She who makes the universe rotate

* 890 * VISWA grasa - She who swallows the universe in one handful

* 934 * VISWA Matha - The mother of the universe

On 26 th night my soul mate made it clearer! Akilandeswari is the Mother, still she is a witness of things allowing things to happen!

How?

The kite may think it is floating freely; no there is a controller and witness!

She makes the universe rotate, leave alone my movements.

I will write more on this!

This day being Pradosh, I wish to submit at the golden feet of my lady-Love

Till My Soul is in My Heart!

Passion and devotion,

Drive me crazy,

Symbolizing the Love,

Intense and intimate!

I send my heart,

Through the wafer thin air,

No message of reply,

Why are you preserving grave silence?

I may not distinguish,

Splendor from filth,

I have tasted the nectar!

Imperial Frames

I Saw an Angel today! Though I have stopped writing poems for a long time that Angel inspired me and I can say this is a brilliant outcome!

Imperial Frames

Lotus of my mind,

Failed to raise its head,

Seeing the Sun, early in the morning!

Deprived of conviction,

I resigned to my fate,

As I do not decipher, many a puzzle!

Oh my Angel!

Moon of thy face,

Awakened my soul resolving that mystery!

Leaping in joy,

The sequential peace,

Filled my heart, burdening my bosom!

Moments of thy proximity,

Made aeon witness me through,

Demolishing the Hadean, Achaean, Proterozoic, and Phanerozoic!

Thy hug so eternal,

Cleansed my soul,

Intensifying my intellect in time so small!

The waves of knowledge,

Reverberate from thy smile,

Banging the darkness from crevices of my being!

The air of thy sweet voice,

Blew away the falsehood,

Spreading the fragrance of intimate care!

Angel of my Life,

Bonding is made not knowing you in Life,

And Liberation happens seeing you rife!

Be with me in my days,

And stay with me during my Deaths,

Taking the toll for my seconds and minutes!

In the cage of thy Love,

Allow me to feel the freak of thy Bliss,

Making this Life worthy of its Time!

With the net of thy Kindness,

Encage the parrot of my heart,

In the castle of thy Feet of enduring compassion!

Death Defying Acts-Part 24: Fatal Diagnosis-- Diary of the Day!

 16.10.2012

5.30 am—got up

5.45 am---through with morning ablutions and house cleaning.

Plan was to perform “ Lalitha Trisathi” Archana to Lalithamma as “ Navrathri”  starts from this day.

Casually was reading a portion of Lalitha Sahasranamam as I had all the Time( it was going to be proved by Lalithamma, ha ha ha; She determines the Time for All!)

Note: to understand this Miracle you need to understand the blue print of my house in Indore, especially Kitchen!

Though it is one room hall kitchen, I normally operate from Kitchen cum prayer room cum dining room

I set the Laptop on the raised platform where the hot plate for my cooking is set on the left extreme, the water pot; on the right side a few pictures of Lalithambika for prayer

6.15 am—washed my clothes

6 25 am—got SMS from my brother Balaji( very unusual as he hates SMS) stating that I should perform the “ Mahalaya paksha Tharpanam—offering of water and sesame to departed elder on this day also as the thithis got spilled over to 16 th Oct even after Mahalaya Amavasya ending on 15 th Oct ; we both perform this water sesame seed offering for the entire 15 days with all reverence and restrictions like limited food etc

I was not prepared for this in terms of time as I normally need 30 minutes for performing Tharpan

my religious lineage cannot think otherwise except to comply with the dictat

6.30 am—had bath quickly

6.35 am—Sandhya vandanam

6.45 am—started Tharpanam

7.08 am—completed tharpanam on fast track

7.09 am—lighted the oil Lamp for performing pooja; again this is kept on the same platform along with Laptop

7.10 am—started Siva pooja-my daily routine for the past may be 30 years

Note—during tharpanam I spill lot of water wherever I do; normally my Santha gives me strong dose of Firing for spilling water and endangering the life of other

here also it happens;

this day due to time constraint, I overlooked and ignored drying of the spilled water

7.15 am—completed Siva pooja on fast track

My heart was pumping fast as I had to leave for office

Happy that I was just on time closed the Laptop which was continuously playing “ Lalitha Sahasranamam” and turned to hall to put it inside its bag

Climax:

the water spilled by me was all over which I did not dry as is normally done; I started slipping;

I remember my reflexive reactive voice—“ahhhhhh!”

I was about to collapse on my back as I could understand that I was falling with complete weight on my spinal cord!

Just then I was stopped from falling as I was pulled back; I swerved in multiple angles and halted! Did not fall!

It was the battery-electrical charging cord, which was still onto the plug point and which I failed to detach from the power line and the connection to the Laptop pulled my full weight back!

I regained posture and took 2-3 minutes to understand quickly what happened and what could have happened!

This could have been a defining moment!

While playing lalitha Sahasranamam, the battery was low and I never allow Lalitha Sahasranamam to be turned off like that so I connected the cord to charge battery which miraculously saved me from dying like a dead vegetable!

Note-when I came to INDORE the same electrical cables and network cables in my office made me fall flat which got twined around my feet while sitting!

This 16 th fall could have decided my fate as I still feel the slight pain, may be aftershock in my back!

But for Lalithamma, I would had become useless in no time( even now I will not claim I am that useful)

Dear Mother Abhirami!

I will die on your lap only Mata lalithaamma, as I cannot fall anywhere else!

I am sure you are there with me, in the front, back, sides, above, below, inside and outside me!

My dear Love, you are I and I am You, Lalithamma!

I Love You Lalithamma!

I know you are

Just I wanted to know how many times Lalithambika is called Maha or Mahat out of 1000 Names!

Maha or Mahat mean Large, Big , Enormous, Great, Huge etc

It is 45 times

I wanted to add something!
Beauty and Love do not need ornaments!

Just offering at the feet of my Lady-Love with lots of Love as my Navaratri Gift!

Death Defying Acts-Part 21: Bits of Heaven for a match made in Heaven!

 Mind Your Mind!

Embodiments of Love! 

My life is not too long

But

In the short span I want the eternal bliss!

Lord Krishna says

न किन्चिदपि चिन्तयेत्।

Think of nothing else [than fixing the mind on the self]

( if we fix the mind on self it will focus consciously on the work on hand)

How to attain one-pointedness of Mind?

I dissipate the self’s boundless potential power of knowing in brooding over worldly trifles!

This must stop!

So the possible flaw could be in selfishness!

I love things and persons!

But

Who does love want?

Atmanasya kaamaaya sarvam priyam bhavathi

    Everything is loved for the sake of Self (in other words we are all selfish brutes with selfishness to the core)

Na va are patyuh kamaya patih priyo bhavati, atmanas tu kamaya patih priyo bhavati;

na va are jayayai kamaya jaya priya bhavati; atmanas tu kamaya jaya priya bhavati;

na va are sarvasya kamaya sarvam priyam bhavati; atmanas tu kamaya sarvam priyam bhavati

                                                         (Brihadaranyaka Upanishad. 2.4.5)

Verily, not for the sake of the husband is the husband loved, but he is loved for the sake of the self [which, in its true nature, is one with the Supreme Self].

Verily, not for the sake of the wife is the wife loved, but she is loved for the sake of the self….Verily, not for the sake of the All is the All loved, but it is loved for the sake of the self.

Verily, it is the Self that should be realized—should be heard of, reflected on, and meditated upon.”

Once a chick of Garuda( eagle) was growing among a hen and chicken; like other chicken it was feeding on worms by walking around exploring dirt and filth.

An eagle located this eagle chick and asked the eagle chick to see its reflection in the pond nearby!

After seeing its own self, the eagle chick realized its true worth, spread its wings and started flying high!

No more dirt!

No more filth!

I come to the point of my obsession on Surrender and Love, the 2 principles which cannot die even after this physical body falls one day to be buried!

Love for Love sake

Work for work sake

No bias

No prejudice

No opinions

No gossiping

No assumptions

No doubting

No thinking

No crookedness

No Reservations

No brooding over the fast

No worrying for future

Just be there and do it!

The power of the mind is in attending to the work on hand and forgetting all other nonsense!

How can I achieve the above?

SURRENDER is the Mantra!

To be the brush in the hands of an artist!

To be the pen in the hands of a writer!

When our mind is able to achieve this then the all the forces of the Universe will start flowing towards us!

Then whatever we do becomes one pointed and fully focused.

Death Defying Acts-Part 22: From Rajagopal with LOVE!

Embodiments of Love! 

Warning: I have written the episode 21 of Death Defying Acts and is ready (a few additions are required) but my Love for Lalithamma is so compelling that I am publishing this episode ahead of 21; Do not be so happy that one episode sorry one head ache for you will be lesser; I will publish 21 before I go to sleep this day!

There is a superstition in India related to women; (there are many; if I start writing all,  my Life Time may not be sufficient)

This is about conferring of the title SUMANGALI to a married woman!

As usual it is a strategy to keep WOMEN under the arrogant control of MEN devised and enacted by MEN of India!

Conditions that will qualify a married woman for this Title:

1)   She must be married

2)   She must be blissful

3)   She must be chaste

4)   She must be obedient to Husband

She will be allowed to retain the title in the OTHER WORLD if she is courageous to die before her husband even if she is 20 years younger to him!

If she is destined to stay beyond her husband’s death she will forfeit this title!

When I listen to the thousand names of LALITHAMMA, she is also called SUMANGALI!

* 967 * Sumangali - She who gives all good things!

I referred to many books; nowhere a reference was seen giving a link to a Sumangali with her useless Husband!

I wanted to understand HER qualifications!

To my surprise LALITHAMBIKAI is also called

 * 54 * Swadheena Vallabha - She who is the independent beloved Mistress

I am sharing the word meaning:

स्वाधीन –Swaadheena: dependent on one's self; being in one's own power or control

वल्लभा –Vallabhaa: beloved female; mistress

Where is the dependency specified for the Wife?

GIRLS—BEWARE of the Male Tricks; with the knowledge provided to them by a FEMALE( Mata Saraswathi Devi) Men play around and terrorize Women!

when I go deeper I fall on some other precious Gems:

Abhirami is called:

* 942 * Vyoma kesi - She who is the wife of Shiva who has sky as his hair

(Vyom = sky, Kesha =hair)

See the qualification of the Husband; the above denotes the omnipresent aspect and vastness! Hence there is no wonder that my Mother is the wife of such a great personality!

Hence naturally she is

* 128 * Sadhwi - She who is eternally devoted to her husband

(साध्वी  Saadwi-faithful wife; chaste or virtuous woman)

This is HER choice; SIVA has not wished for this phenomenon!

See this name of my Lady Love:

* 861 * Kanthardha vigraha - She who seizes half ( Husband or siva is not mentioned but it is understood as the word Kantha (wife) is used

कान्ता—kantha--beloved or lovely woman/wife

अर्ध—ardha--half

विग्रह्—vigraha—seize

the beauty of this 861 st Namavali is that it is not that HER Husband was asked for Half of His being; it is SEIZED Boss; No begging business or Mercy of the Male is indicated!

Another great humbug is the torture of calling married woman as “PATHI VRATHA”

* 709 * Sada shiva pathi vratha - She who is devoted wife for all times to Lord Shiva

व्रत—vrata means a resolve, manner of life

Pathi Vratha means a resolve to consider so and so as one’s husband!

Here Lalithamma has been kind enough to consider my Lord Siva as Her Husband to fulfill a post

Whereas

In India Men make a ruckus out of “ Pathi Vratha” making an unwritten Rule that Wife will be a bonded slave to Husband;

I am unable to find “ Patni Vrathaha”( DEVOTED HUSBAND)!

Ladies Beware of cheating games!

Now see the qualification of the Husband of a Sumangali

* 793 * Kapardhini - She who is the wife of Kapardhi (Siva with hair)

कपर्दिन्—kapardhin means wearing braided and knotted hair—(SIVA)

the braiding and knotting indicate PENANCE and disregard to worldly matters; there is meaning if the couple fit into this qualification for being a Sumangali or Sumangalan and not the useless human beings who just have no regards for systems!

Finally another Namavali

* 674 * Brahmani – FEMININE Gender for Brahman

She who is the wife of Brahman(easwara) is the meaning given in Bhasyams!

The point to be noted is

Brahman is ONE! Where is the question of Husband and Wife?

Brahmaiva Satyam( Adi Sankara’s famous verse)

Brahma satyam jagat mithya, jivo brahmaiva naparah—

"Brahman is the only truth,

the world is unreal,

and

 There is ultimately no difference between Brahman and individual self"

Appeal to Lord Siva: Boss, this is against the men of India; you will not mistake me as you belong to Cosmos!
