Merciless Gods and Sacrifices

Embodiments of Love!
One person told me, “Enough of your physics, talk about Sacrifice”
I saw the meaning of Sacrifice in the dictionary
1.
a. The act of offering something to a deity in propitiation or homage, especially the ritual slaughter of an animal or a person.
b. A victim offered in this way.
2.
a. The act of giving up something highly valued for the sake of something else considered to have a greater value or claim:
b. Something given up in this way.
3.
a. Relinquishment of something at less than its presumed value.

Flashback:
In Tamilnadu there is a place called Madurai;
There is an IAS officer, straight forward and genuine which are rare in India;

In May 2012, Sagayam investigated reports of illegal granite quarrying in the vicinity of Madurai. These activities had been noted in 2008 by a Right to Information (RTA) activist. Pursuant to his complaint, the Madras High Court had ordered an inquiry in 2009, but nothing came of it until 2010, when Tamil-language daily newspaper Dina Bhoomi ran a series of articles, implicating among others Durai Dayanidhi, Alagiri's eldest son. This led to the arrest on specious charges of the RTA activist and the Dina Bhoomi editor. The issue was brought up in the 2011 elections, and pursued after the AIADMK government was formed.[7]
Sagayam's May 2012 report accused several senior officials of collusion with illegal granite miners, and suggested that losses to the state from illegal mining amounted to at least Rs 16,000 crore(Rs 160 billion), and possibly twice that. Four days later, he was transferred from his position as district collector to a post as managing director of Co-optex, a handloom weavers' cooperative in Chennai.
Current Scene:
The driver of the quarry has given a complaint to Sagayam that mentally retarded people have been sacrificed in the quarry for prosperity; the driver has submitted that he brought mentally retarded orphans from elsewhere as instructed by the quarry owners and the quarry owners fed them very well; driver thought it was an act of benevolence; one day he saw 2 bodies in the truck with their throats cut  ( after sacrifice)

MY DOUBT:

What is this sacrifice called and what is the name of the God enjoying this nonsense?

Bonus offer:

I usually visit an old age home;
I can see parents of wealthy people;
Their sons and daughters are in USA, UK and Canada;
These children visit their parents once in 2-3 years;
What a great act of SACRIFICE by the children….

धन्यवाद:

See you in the next episode
With lots of love
