Death Defying Acts-Part 13-Countering The Defence or Encountering an Offence?

Embodiments of Love!

In isavasya Upanishad slogam 5 is really driving me nuts!

(This slogam is a rhythmic beauty also)

tadejati tannaijati taddure tadvantike |
tadantarasya sarvasya tadu sarvasya bahyatah || 5 ||

that moves
that does not move

that is far off
that is very near

that is inside all
that is outside all

The juxtaposition of deadly opposites defies simple logic!

But our elders are not fools……….

Let us talk about “Movement”

Physics states that there is absolutely nothing that does not move to something else.

The sun is moving at an amazing velocity around the center of the Milky Way galaxy; the average velocity of the solar system is 828,000 km/hr. At that rate it will take about 230 million years to make one complete orbit around the galaxy.

And

The galaxy itself is moving relative to other galaxies.

One example of relative motion:

if we are driving our car at 50 miles per hour, that is not our absolute speed, it is our speed relative to the road.

we are moving at thousands of feet per second on the earth relative to the sun, and much faster relative to the galaxy and faster yet relative to other galaxies.

So is the sun moving?

Yes, *relative* to other objects. But there is no absolute motion.

But we are normally told that Sun does not move but only other planets move around the Sun!

Coming back to Isavasya Upanishad slogam 5:

Does that supreme personality, God move or doesn’t move?

If I am sitting inside a car which is moving, am I moving or not moving?

धन्यवाद:

See you in the next episode
With lots of love
