Is it all About NOTHING?

Embodiments of Love !

Beyond the senses are the objects;

Beyond the objects is the mind;

Beyond the mind, the intellect;

Beyond the intellect, the Great Atman;

Beyond the Great Atman, the Unmanifest;

Beyond the Unmanifest,  the Purusha.

Beyond the Purusha there is nothing:

                        This is the end, the Supreme Goal.

    Katha Upanishad Chapter 3—Verses 10 and 11 as told by Lord Yama to Nachiketas

Is it all about NOTHING?

After DEATH, do we all turn NOTHING?

Okay Dear Friends, no point in panicking; I know that I am already nothing; so there cannot be another thing called nothing!

Let us see what scriptures say about this Purusha which is unmanifest

Purusha sukta is hymn 10.90 of the Rigveda, dedicated to Purusha, the "cosmic man".

Purusha in this Suktham is described as a gigantic personality who is spread everywhere.

          Purusha suktha manthra occurs in Rig Veda, Vajaneya Samhitha of Shukla Yajur Veda, Taiteeriya Samhitha of Krishna Yajurveda and also with slight differences in Sama Veda as well as Atharva Veda.

I am interested in the invocation verse:

त्च्छं योराव्रृणीमहे गातु॑ यज्ञाय ........

Transliteration

Thachamyo ravruneemahe.
gaathum yagnayaa.
Gaathum Yagna pathayae.
Daivee swasthi -rasthu naha
Swasthir Manushebhyha.
Urdhwma Jigathu beshajam.

Sam no asthu dwipadhe.
Sam chatush pade
Om Shanthi, Shanthi, Shanthi.

we pray  from you with all enthusiasm,
For the good deeds that are medicine,
For the sadness of the past and future,
we pray  for the growth of fire sacrifices,
we pray that only good should occur,
To the one who presides over such sacrifices,
we pray  for the mercy of gods to man,
we pray  for good to the community of men,
we pray  that the herbs and plants,
Should grow taller towards the skies.
we pray  for good for all two legged beings,
we pray  for good to all four legged beings,
we pray  for peace, peace and peace.

is it that only 2 legged and 4 legged animals are important? is man very selfish?

Consider the sentence "Aham Brahmasmi" ... I am Brahman. The words and their meanings are simple. But what exactly does it mean ? To understand this is to really "Be" "That - Brahman".  How to know the meaning of this?

For example, I am immortal means, I have to be able to separate mortality from me! That means I should be able to separate what is not me from what is me.

I am confused….will think more and confuse you also

I have to board Mumbai flight now

धन्यवाद:

See you in the next episode

With lots of love
