Vision 360

Embodiments of Love!

Today, like every other day, we wake up empty
and frightened. Don't open the door to the study
and begin reading. Take down a musical instrument.
Let the beauty we
love be what we do.
There are hundreds of ways to kneel and kiss the ground.
Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and right doing,
there is a field. I'll meet you there.
                                                 ---------------- a Sufi Poem

I wrote this episode while listening to the scintillating Sufi music, song “ Bhala Hua Meri Matki” beautifully sung by Pakistani singer Abida Parveen (she is famous for her Kaafi style of Sufi music and Arfaana Kalaam,  mesmerizing the audiences with her strong vocals)

I will not feel bad I were to die end of this song; such a divine rendering!

Narada Bhakti Sutram 13

अन्यथा पातित्याशाङ्कया------------१३

English Transliteration

Word By Word Meaning

अन्यथा—anyatha---or else, otherwise
पातित्या—paathityaa---of falling down
शाङ्कया—shaangkyaa---anticipating the possibility

Simple Meaning:
otherwise there is a fear of a fall (from the spiritual path)

Explanation

in stanza 12 the recommendation was to preserve the scriptures; we all know that our mind is a monkey; the scriptures dictate the mode of life; this ensures that there is no fallout from the disciplined way warranted for the spiritual progress!
a live example is:
when we open any social site, we fall on  half-naked or almost nude pictures with an invitation for a chat; the smallest ember of spiritual power as seen in the tip of an Agarbathi gets extinguished by the tantalizing look of the girl !
To restore normalcy I have to call Jai Shree Ram 11 times; hope you understand!

Jai Anjaneya!

धन्यवाद:

See you in the next episode
With lots of love
