Die-Hard

Embodiments of Love!

Home-schooled 12-year-old cracks IIT

Satyam Kumar, all of 12 and with little formal schooling, has cracked the tough Indian Institute of Technology-Joint Entrance Examination (IIT-JEE). He is the youngest to do so. Kumar, the son of a farmer from Bhojpur in Bihar, qualified from the Mumbai zone with an all-India rank of 8,137

When I read this 2 things come to my mind; it is passion and passion and passion!
1)
when I did B.Ed internship, one of the Teachers asked me for how long I study; I said 2 hours including The Hindu reading; he asked other than subject books and papers; I replied 30 minutes; he suggested that to become a Die-Hard 5-6 hours slogging was required
this Satyam has given an interview stating that he spent 5 hrs per day!

2)
Also my father used to tell the following slogam very often

Taaraa naam bhushanam chandro naareenaam bhushanam patihi |
ताराणां भूषणं चन्द्रॉ नारीणां भूषणं पति: |
प्रुथिव्या भूषणं राजा विद्या सर्वस्य भूषणं ||

pruthivyaa bhushanam raajaa vidyaa sarvasya bhushanam ||

Stars are the ornaments of Moon.

Husband is the ornament of a Woman

King is the ornament of Earth.

Knowledge is the ornament of All!

Bhagavan Krishna also shares the same sentiments:

श्रद्धावाँ ल्लभ्ते ज्ञानं तत्परः संयतेन्द्रियः
ज्ञानं लब्ध्वा परां शान्ति मचिरेणाधिगच्छति  --३९

Shraddhavan labhate jnanam matparassamyat indriyaha
Jnanam labdwa param shanthim achirena adhigachchathi

                                                                                            || 4.39 ||

sraddha-van--a faithful man;
labhate--achieves;
jnanam--knowledge;
tat-parah--very much attached to it;
samyata--controlled;
indriyah--senses;
jnanam--knowledge;
labdhva--having achieved;
param--transcendental;
santim--peace;
acirena--very soon;
adhigacchati--attains.

Meaning
A faithful man who is absorbed in transcendental knowledge and who subdues his senses, quickly attains the supreme spiritual peace.

Do you believe in Miracles?
Okay just got news from my Brother-in Law’s daughter that she got 10 points in CBSC, a high rank.
So Knowledge is power

I submit myself at the feet of Saraswati Devi with the following slogam; Hey Devi give me all the knowledge and Wisdom!

कामधेनुगुणा विद्या ह्यकाले फलदायिनी
प्रवासे मातृसदृशी विद्या गुप्तं धनं स्मृतम्

kaamdenu guna vidya hrakaale phaladya yini

pravaase maatrusa dshi vidya guptam dhana smrutam

Knowledge has the characteristic like "Kamadhenu" which grants all the wishes

During journey, knowledge takes care like mother.

Thus knowledge is considered as a hidden wealth

धन्यवाद:

See you in the next episode
With lots of love
