Embodiments of Love!
Original Slogam
सा त्व्स्मिन् परम प्रेमरूपा
Transliteration
Word by word Meaning:
सा—saa—She; here it means it or that; that is denotes DEVOTION; note this is in Feminine gender
तु—tu—and, but, indeed
अस्मिन्—asmin—in that
परम—parama—supreme, obsolute, profound
प्रेम—prema—Love
रूपा—roopaa—form; this is in neuter gender
Literal Meaning:
That,(Bhakti- Devotion), indeed is in the form of Profound/Supreme Love!
My Explanations:
1) meaning is simple; here there is no mention of devotion to God.
2) Supreme would be appropriate as Love does not seek or imagine anything in return; I am not referring to 18 year old boy getting a free mobile with a sim-card and gifting to his girl.
3) some authors talk about lower Love and Higher Love; to me Love is Love; I am not discussing or disputing; all are great gurus; still I want to adhere to my perception; let me give an example: a child gives its mother its saliva-soaked Chocolate; there I see the supreme Love; I see the same love in Sydney Carton, a lazy, alcoholic attorney who, inspired by a woman, makes the supreme sacrifice.( Tale of Two Cities by my favorite writer and story-teller Charles Dickens).
Srimad Bhagavatham canto 11 chapter 20—verses 32 and 33 glorify Bhakti as the ultimate thing for Kaliyuga:
Everything that can be achieved by penance, knowledge, detachment, mystic yoga, charity, religious duties and all other means of perfecting life is easily achieved by My devotee through loving service unto Me.( Bhakti is the purported meaning).
If somehow or other My devotee desires promotion to heaven, liberation, or residence in My abode, he easily achieves such benedictions.
Again Rajagopal’s opinion is that “Chanting of Divine names”, (Namasmarana), especially of their family Deity will lead to this state.
For example our Family Deity is Palani Muruga; hence I should be chanting
“Om Shri Subrahmanyaaya Namaha “
ॐ श्री सुब्रह्मन्याय नमः
I do chant; individuals may experiment and see the difference in their Life! Take it from me; it is guaranteed!
I wish to quote my Mentor and Guru Shri Satya Sai Baba on Chanting God’s Names (Namasmarana):
Devotee: "Please show householders, an easy Divine Path".
Satya Sai: "Whatever you are doing now is enough. Namasmarana alone is enough. If you come again and stand before Me, I will say the same thing over and over again.
"Let the mind wander as it likes. Do Namasmarana. It is like placing the pot of water on fire for boiling. The fire of Namasmarana eliminates all the impurities in mind and it becomes pure. That is the SECRET".
"The fire called Namasmarana will burn away your Karma.
Purandaradasa has said that remembering the Name of the Lord is enough.
Ok; I will post it now; it is time for me to make “ Square or triangular” Chapatis.
With lots of love
