Embodiments of Love!

Many a time, we do not mean what we say.

“Good morning “is such a thing.

We intend to share that this morning is perceived as good and wish the same for the other person.

I have made it a point not to say Good Morning to one of my bosses if he calls me over the intercom from any meeting, chaired by him; the reason is “ it’s a Bad Morning” is his reply invariably.

This result is due to reactive mechanism set in our psyche. Responsive mode will set the positive vibes in motion.

If I am committed to be happy, who can spoil my happiness? Past is dead; Future is a mystery; this present moment is a present (gift); Let us live this present moment.

The various management Gurus have been telling the same thing; if I have to use

Aitareya Upanishad:

ॐ वाङ् मे मनसि प्रतिष्ठिता

मनो मे वाचि प्रतिष्ठित-मावीरावीर्म एधि ।

oṃ vaang mae manasi pratiṣṭitaa

manoa mae vaaci pratiṣṭita-maaveeraaveerma edhi |

Word by word meaning:

vAng—speech ( Vangmayi is Saraswati Devi- वाङ्मयी)

mei-my

manas- मनस्—thought ( manasi- मनसि means in mind/thought)

pratistita- प्रतिष्ठित is an adj means stationed

mano—in mind/thought

Vaachi-saying, speech

pratistita- प्रतिष्ठित is an adj means stationed

maa—to me

veera- वीर—brave, heroic, excellent, supreme

veerma— effulgence, splendor

edh- एध्—swell, gain ground—here it means appear

Meaning:

Om ! May my speech be based on (in accordance with) the mind;

May my mind be based on speech.

O Self-effulgent One, reveal Thyself to me.

What we think, we should speak; what we speak, should be our thinking

To make our thinking better Satsang is suggested; satsang means company of good people.

Shri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa gives a beautiful example for Satsang:

An incense stick when lighted has fire in it. If someone lights a cigarette, there is fire in it. If a forest is burning, there is fire in it. If a cooking stove is working, there is fire in it. These are all fires of different strengths. If you take a bundle of dry sticks and put it near the incense stick or the cigarette, the dry sticks will not catch fire. Not only will they not catch fire, they will even put out the fire in the incense stick or the cigarette. On the other hand, even if you take a bundle of raw and green plantain trees to the forest fire, they will not succeed in putting out the forest fire but will they themselves become part of the fire. The reason for this is that the forest fire is rich in quality and in quantity. It is therefore able to burn everything that comes into contact with it. The fire on the incense stick and on the cigarette has neither the quality nor the quantity and therefore it itself is extinguished. So it is that if the good qualities in yourself are feeble, they will be extinguished under the pressure of bad company. If they are strong, they will extinguish everything bad that comes into contact with them.

One Guru was referring to Hamsa Ksheera Nyaya which means Swans’ Milk separation method; it is told that Swan could take milk and leave behind water.

Is Life very long to worry about criticism? No, let us move on, as names and certificates have no value at the time when persons will turn bodies (after death)
